1. TV SHOW: Lie to Me
This is the most entertaining series that I have watched in forever, that is not a reality show. Have you ever realized how much you actually lie in a simple conversation? It is estimated that in a 10 minute conversation a person tells about 3 lies. In this show, each episode has two story lines going on, not to mention the personal story that is continually going on in the background with the cast members. If you like Law & Order, you will LOVE this!! You can find it on Fox. Lightman solves mysteries and crimes through interview after interview to determine who is at fault. It keeps you locked in to the very end!
2. Guns
I went to my mom's cousins house and was there talking to her husband (B) and his father- in- law (T), my great uncle about how they went to the shooting range that morning. I saw on the news a few weeks ago that mothers and daughters are taking classes mainly just for self defense. Now, you know how men are with their guns! So after a long talk with these men and my dad, I became interested in guns. B helped me find an appropriate gun online for me, and dad promised to take me to the range a weekend soon! I am pretty excited about this, because I think it would be cool to be able to say I know how to shoot a gun!3. Nail Polish: China Glaze- Shocking Pink
I love this color!! I have always wanted a neon color but I was a little too nervous to try it! I bought one at a local drugstore last month but it chipped and peeled the day after I painted my nails! So tonight I painted mine with China Glaze tonight and we will see how this turns out! It took about 4 coats to be thick enough but this vibrant color is very pretty!
4. Cooking
Lately I have been cooking dinner every night for my family! I love to try new recipes I read about or come across. I actually planned out a weeks worth of meals and cooked them all from the Weight Watchers Cookbook. The other day I found a recipe for peach frozen yogurt, I made that tonight! Yummy! I love to incorporate summer fruits into my recipes during this time!
5. Painting
Since I have not been working I have been painting a ton! This week I finally finished one of my big projects! I found an old trunk at the Re- Store place for Habitat for Humanity and totally repainted all of it with Lilly Prints and my monogram on top. I also finished my paddle and a pair of letters. I had planned on giving them to my little but now that I painted them, I really love them and don't know if I want to give them away! All of it is hand painted, it was definitely a labor of love! I will post pictures of all my pieces later!

Like a Bad Habit
It has been quite a while since I have posted my first entry on here but like a bad habit, I am back once again!
I made apple cobbler twice this week, I know- it is starting to become a problem, but it is so delicious and everyone loves it!! I thought I would share my recipe:
2 cans of apples
3/4 cup of sugar
1 cup brown sugar
mix in a bowl and place in baking dish,
in separate bowl, mix:
1 cup milk
3 table spoons of vanilla extract
a sprinkling of cinnamon sugar
1 cup of butter
1 1/4 cup of flour
blend and put on top of apple mixture
bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour
serve warm with vanilla ice cream!
Maybe I am just baking and cooking to keep myself distracted. I need to be busy because since the last time I have blogged, I quit my job. I felt totally disrespected and not valued within my company and decided that after a multitude of issues had come up, it was time to quit! I feel like this was a bit rash for me but I was responsible about it, I have been babysitting quit a lot now and have much more time for visiting with friends, now that Summer is quickly coming to a close.
This saddens me so much! There is nothing I hate more than realizing that a season of my life is ending and that it is now time to begin a new chapter in my life. This summer has been one of the most boring and somewhat depressing summers of my life. I have been just so bummed because I haven't been able to go on trips like normal and seeing and hearing about everyone else's fun times really make me jealous! Although I have been lacking vivaciousness in my life lately, I have really been taught a few life lessons. like mothers still think that even though you are grown up, and independent now, they can still control you. This has been a tough one for me but I have learned to bite my tongue a bit and just roll with the punches because after all... Mom is usually right!
I guess it is time for me to get off here, I am babysitting all day tomorrow and I am going to be totally pooped!
